How to Commission Art

An original art work makes a wonderful gift for someone special or even for yourself. 

What is commissioned Art?

Commissioned art is original art work “made to order”. Essentially you’re requesting the artist create an artwork that has not been done before. In many cases this artwork can be created from a photo.

These unique pieces are time-consuming for the artist. Because I put my heart and soul into every piece, each piece takes many hours of work (20 – 100 hours). It’s the best way to capture the detail that makes your much loved pet so special.

How do I request commissioned art work?

If you would like to commission an art work of your pet or favourite animal, I will require a quality close up photograph to work from. I want to be able to capture the soul of the animal so the better the photo, the better the art work. If you would like a wildlife piece I have access to some wonderful photo references that can be used. I am happy to discuss your requirements and tailor a piece especially for you. 

Deposit

I will require a 25% upfront deposit and the balance on completion. I will send progress photos and make sure you are happy with the final result prior to delivery.

Delivery

If you are local to Gippsland, we can organise pick up or drop off. Otherwise I can send via post.

Pricing

Please note the sizes below are a guide depending on the medium. I can provide a simple natural wood tone frame mounted with a cream matt board for watercolour and pencil at an additional price. Any other special requirements (e.g., special size, additional animal) can be discussed upon ordering.
