I am an Australian based artist living in regional Victoria with my gorgeous labradoodle Larry. I create handmade realistic and detailed pet and wildlife portraits, capturing the animal’s true essence and personality.
I have loved drawing my entire life. As a small child a pencil and paper were never far from my reach.
The key is to capture the animals personality through their eyes, after all the eyes are the window to the soul!
My first love was horses which I drew whenever I had the opportunity. This later expanded to include all animals, particularly wildlife. When possible, I love to work from my own photographs, however I have access to some wonderful reference photos from some amazing photographers all around the world.
I accept commissions from all over the world.
If you are looking for that unique and special gift for someone or even for yourself then look no further. I put my heart and soul into every piece I create, spending anywhere from 20 to 40 hours or more. I use only quality lightfast pencils, Daniel Smith watercolours and archival paper and boards so your bespoke artwork will last a lifetime. If you are interested in commissioning a portrait please go to the Commissions page.
My favourite mediums are watercolour, coloured pencil and scratchboard. These allow me to create a life like portrait. Check out the Art Questions page for more information on these mediums.
